Computational Group Theory

Lecture in Summer Term 2014

Content

The aim of the course is to introduce different possibilities to code groups on a computer and from there treat algorithms to calculate elemental properties and objects in groups, like the order of elements, the order of groups and advantageous creational systems. The focus is on permutation groups.

Prerequisits

Prerequisits include the mandatory courses in theoretical computer sciences and mathematics of B.Sc. Informatik.
